Volunteers make things happen in our Chamber. Committee participation is fun and there is a great sense of reward that comes with accomplishment. Fresh ideas are so very important as our new Chamber builds its foundation! We appreciate the many volunteers who give of their time to make our organization successful. Service on more than one committee is very acceptable Chamber behavior as it increases your network of business contacts.
Workforce Development – Work together to make connections between the business community and the schools.
Special Events – Plan a variety of special events throughout the year:
- Home Expo
- Golf Outing
- New Kensington Wine and Beer Festival
Government Affairs – Monitor local, state and federal legislation as it affects business. Meet with elected officials. Provide membership programs on key issues.
Leadership Alle Kiski Strong – Plans and prepares monthly leadership sessions for the program by topic. We seek out speakers, venues, and sponsors for particular sessions based on our expertise and interests,
Membership/Marketing – Assist in attaining new members and create interesting networking events.
Chamber FANS – FUN, ACTIVE, NETWORKING SOCIALS – Activity Based networking events that bring people together to DO something fun while meeting and making connections!
WAKE – Women of the AK Engaging – A women’s group that is in the planning stages that will be rolled out to bring the Women of the Chamber together to support each other and discuss issues that women in business face.
